Tommorow is 14th February, the day that all young couples look forward to. It is Valentines Day, and on this day young couples reaffirm their love for each other or new couples begin their journey towards a committed relationship. However, for me, I am not going to witness all of this. For me, I have not yet found my better half and this poem is about a lonely boy who wants to understand this Love and this day in particular. Here are the lines of this brief Poem:
Tommorow is Valentine's Day,
Young couples hearts are full of Joy and Love.
Cupid's presence is there everywhere,
Couples experience love like never before.
Vows and promises are exchanged,
Couples reaffirm their love till the end of time,
That is what a friend of mine says about this day.
For him, his girl is more valuable than himself, so,
Couples experience love like never before.
But, I and my heart are lonesome on that day.
I do not know as to why it is like this,
I wonder if it is me or is it written, that
I will never fall in love with somebody.
All around, I see moral barriers in this expression.
People are going around trying to curb this wonderful feeling,
But I so much want to fall in love, perhaps I never will.
I can only watch and think as to when my time will come.
Cupid is perhaps turning a blind eye towards me,
there is a message here that nothing perhaps is simple in life.
Hence, i can only salute those couples who look forward to this day,
for they will understand the true meaning of spending their life.
I am born with patience, but i wonder wether i will run out of it soon.
Till then, i can only keep on asking the question,
wether I can fall in love with anybody,
on this wonderful occasion called Valentine's Day.
