Trip to Mumbai

February 21st, I will be in Mumbai. The Dream City of India, the most Cosmopolitan and commercial city in India, the financial capital of the country now awaits me. After a gap of 4 months, i will be back in the city where i was born and nurtured. But, coming to mumbai, i do not get a good feeling. In fact, it is quiet the opposite. Call me weird or anything, but somehow I am just not looking forward to seeing Mumbai.

First and forall, the life of Mumbai is something that i have always wanted to speak against. The mechanized way of living is something that makes people forget about the good things that life has to offer. The other side of this vibrant and fast apced life is that it becomes too sressful, and at some point, individuals tend to lose direction with their life.

The infrastructure of the place is also crumbling. The landscape of the city has being tarnished by the ever growing slums and also the constant digging of roads. The traffic problem in the city is the most congested. Although Mumbai boasts of the best Transportation network in the whole country, it has a whole host of problems regarding Transport. If Roads are on the state of ruin, then the number of vehicles instead of decreasing go up by thousands. The resulting bottlenecks in Traffic result in the train network getting Jam packed beyond insanity.

The other problems of the place shall be discussed when i am there in the city. Mumbai boasts of the best food culture that is available, and the people are indeed warm and helpful. But, all of this is just small consolation compared to the whole host of problems the city is suffering from. But, I guess, the saying goes, "Something is better than Nothing". Maybe, this is the reason why People cannot hate Mumbai.
