It is So Cold

The Northern part of India is currently undergoing a Cold Wave, and this has confined people to their houses. This post is going to be a poem about how the people cope with the cold, taking into account some of the hassles that are faced by them in their daily life:

It is so Cold, It is so Cold
People refuse to come out in the open.
All are bundled up for warmth,
hoping for some comfort,
But It is so Cold, It is so Cold.

Trains and Flights are all delayed,
and people start to feel hot with anger.
They curse the way of nature,
but they continue to remain patient.
Yet their patience has been tested,
Because It is so Cold, It is so Cold.

Yet, People carry with them bundles of Faith,
for even in the chill, they take a dip in the Holy waters,
To cleanse their souls.
Yet, I feel that al these people are so Crazy,
because It is so Cold, It is so Cold.

Bonfires burn in some corners of the street,
for the poor can soak in some of the heat,
But, this may not be enough,
for he has little clothing and could die,
Because It is so Cold, It is so Cold.

Yet, this weather brings out some good things.
The mist and the dew drops that we see in the early morning,
gladden and warm our hearts in a quiet way,
inspite that It is so Cold, It is so Cold.
