Standing all alone

I stand alone in the midst of Adversity.
Isolation, Ignorance, Bad treatment and all,
Adjusting to an Alien Land,
Trying to communicate with people of a different culture,
I stand alone in the midst of Adversity.

No protection of parents around,
No advice from your near and dear ones,
No dependance on others for your need,
I stand alone in the midst of Adversity.

Friends have been made old,
New friends emerge in a new land,
Look upon this land of opportunity,
understand its makeup, so the need not be,
I stand alone in the midst of Adversity.

Adversity makes you mature,
Makes you into an Adult man,
shatters the innocence of childhood,
and I emerge into a new world where,
I will stand alone in the midst of Adversity.
